Purpose

Whether you're new to running, running your first 5K, or running your 50th, if you haven't yet broken the 20 minute barrier then this training plan is for you. Unlike most race training plans, this one assumes you have a busy life outside of running and hence outlines workouts that will give you the most bang for your buck, never making you run more than 4 days a week. Also, it's free. The training plan provides a very gradual buildup to prevent injury, but allows you to work up to speedwork and distances that will have you well prepared for your sub 20 minute 5K.

Getting Started

If you're an avid runner then go ahead and dive right in. Otherwise check out the training tips and make sure you're all geared up.
